Caving

I used to work in Wells, which is on the edge of the Mendips. During my year out my colleagues took me to Swildon's hole for my first trip, where we went to sump 2 and back. I've been to Swildon's five times now, but this first trip is still the furthest I've been into Swildon's. We generally go to caves that don't have controlled access, although we do have our own ladders and ropes. Last year I built a home made LED caving lamp, after getting fed up with batteries on a belt and not being able to turn my head in a rift because of the lamp. I've also taken an old camera into various caves, so I have some photos you can look at.
